Everyday life: new clay sculptures

I've been working on a new batch of clay busts.
I ended up with:  3 swimmers, 1 bunny, 1 nude girl and 1 girl with pigtails.

I admit that I'm my number # 1 fan when it comes to these clay sculptures not because I make them, but because I'm always surprised at how they turn out. They feel like real little people and they seem to appear before my eyes just like magic.

Everyday Life: Posing for pictures

Greta in the living room
This photo was taken a couple of weekends ago. I am inclined to take photos on the spur of the moment whenever I "see" a picture that would make for a good painting. My daughter, Greta is the opposite of her brother and dislikes being photographed. So, it was a rare opportunity for me to capture her.
All in all, a nice photo with lots of sunshine and plants and Greta's black and white polka dot shirt just added to the overall effect of the composition.

Everyday life: spring flowers

I bought these flowers yesterday afternoon and dragged them home in my bag through a snow storm. They managed to survive and look very happy today sitting in my studio.

The view outside our living room window this morning.

New Stickers Sets in the Shop

The Bettina Series Sticker Sets
I've got new sticker sets in my ETSY shop . These stickers are taken from a new series of small acrylic gouache portrait paintings on paper that I've been working on this past winter…….The Bettina Series.

I'm quite excited with this new direction in my work and I'm really digging the lighter colour scheme and the overall effect of happiness in these faces. Can't wait to make more of these portraits.
